PROCESS: Select your choices in the options above, then add to cart to place your order. After ordering, please email me at hello@rachelheiss.com with your order number, the name of the pet(s) and several photos, specifying which pose/expression you’d prefer, background preferences or images (if any), along with any details you’d like for me to include (ie. a specific collar, spot or name tag).

CUSTOMIZATION & ADD-ONS: The base option for each size is a painting of your pet from the chest-up, no background, and name written underneath. 5”x7” paintings start at $125, 8”x10” paintings start at $200, and 11”x14” paintings start at $300.

Add-ons are now available, including number of pets, type of background, and whether your pet is painted from the chest-up or their full body is included in the painting. The cost of each add-on will vary depending on the size of the pet portrait. Read below to learn more about each add-on!

Number of Pets

Currently, you can select up to 3 pets. If you’d like to include more, please send me an email (hello@rachelheiss.com) and I’ll create a more custom option for you!

Chest-Up or Full Body

When I first started painting pet portraits, I painted a “bust” style where the pet is shown from the chest-up with their name underneath. I now get an equal number of requests for painting the full body. If selecting the full body, many people request their pet’s quintessential pose, and send along photos so I can get it just right.

Background

You can select no background, partial background or full page background. A partial background may include anything of your choosing and will surround your pet, but not fill the entire page. Flowers are a common option, or simply grass and a bit of sky surrounding your pet(s). A full page background is exactly how it sounds - I will paint your pet in an environment of your choosing, filling the entire paper. If you like their pose/expression from one photo, but you want them to be painted in a different environment, email me all photos and I’ll mix and match photos of your pet + background to create the right portrait.

Size

Standard sizes are available, which means frames are widely available at most stores. If you’d like a different size, I’d be happy to change it up - please let me know!

5”x7” - $125

8”x10” - $200

11”x14” - $300

* If you’d prefer to split the cost into two payments, I’d be happy to accept half up front, and half before shipping you the final painting! Send me an email if you’d like to go this route, and I’ll send you a separate link for payment.
